Good morning! Day two! I had a great Bloggiesta day yesterday. I managed 10 hours of updates and maintenance… I had on my workman overalls and I was right down in the midst of the blog engine…. tinkering, cleaning, a fresh oil change, tweaking the carburetor and I think I actually accomplished a lot.
Sure, when I was all done putting it back together I had a few parts left over… but I don’t think they are really needed… I am pretty sure in fact they are extra pieces…
which I just put under the rug.
Today I will continue on catching up on post writing and a few planned posts that I have been thinking about for awhile….I am hoping by the end of the weekend I will have Wordshakers up and running again too.
Game on! 😀

10 hours?!? You are so awesome. I wish I had time to join in the fun this weekend!
It is super cold in Minnesota – currently 17 below… yesterday morning it was 22 below zero. There was no where I wanted to go and nothing pressing here…. that helped 🙂
I’m glad you’re staying indoors (except of course for the firewood stoking runs) because I saw your frigid temps on TV! We seem to be trying to be like Minn. this winter and I for one don’t like it a bit. We have long said we would move far enough south to avoid such harsh winters when we can, and both of us are wishing that day would come sooner rather than later.
Rural – the stove duties usually does not fall on me during the day. Hubby fills it when he is out by our shop around 6 am. At noon I send Chance out, and probably today I will send him out around 3:30 too. Hubby will take it again before he comes in and that puts me at the night time fill…. right before I go to bed. 🙂
I am suppose to be going on a skiing lesson on Monday and I am HOPING it will not be too cold!
I’m giggling here…I halfway expected a photo of you in those workman overalls…come on, you know you want to! LOL
Wow, you did a lot of work! I only did 3.8 hrs. yesterday (got a late start!), but today I’ve done 1:45 hours so far.
Here’s my update post:

LOL Laurel… if I had them…. there would truly be a picture…. you know me so well! 😛
Popping in to see how you are doing!
That is quite a bit of time. I haven’t been able to invest nearly that much time but I hope to get a few things accomplished this weekend.
Teresa it rarely works out that way but I had worked two weeks straight without a real day off – and yesterday was my day to veg! 😀
Good luck and enjoy! I hope to find time this weekend but have completed most of my must complete items so pressure is off.
That’s great Mari – I think for the first time this blog isn’t so in need of a makeover that I cant get it all done. For the first time I am actually happy with the color and the layout and have no plans to change it any time soon. 🙂
10 hours is awesome! I managed about 3 last night, and hopefully 3-4 more today, depending on other projects. I should get going, but I’m pretty comfy just bumming around in my pjs this morning!
I am back at it this morning Kim… a few project posts in my head that I need to get drafted and I have reviews I want to continue prepping… always a goal to get ahead on them 🙂
Have an awesome day! How is you r weather? Is it as cold as ours?
Go you! It’s super cold here too, but of course we’re going to see family today anyways. Which means I need to get my butt in gear and get some stuff done before we leave at 2. It hasn’t been cold like this yet this winter, but we’re below 0 as well, I’m afraid to look at what the temperature really is.
This is our first super cold weekend Kristen… I am making a crock pot beef stew today so I have no need to venture out of the house 😉
What book are you going to choose for WordShakers?
That is the hold up Esme… I do not know yet. I like to add a little something extra to our book picks like author interaction, book giveaway… I just have not found the one I want to do yet.
Ciao Shelia and best wishes for 2011, I am back at last catching up on so much that I missed while I was away from the blogsphere! I have never heard of Bloggiesta until today.
Hi Lindy! Glad to have you back 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend, Sheila. Congrats on all of the work done!
Thanks Rebecca, it is going well!
Oh YAY Wordshakers will be back. I keep checking in case I missed the next book.
You are keeping It’s Monday What Are you Reading, right? Please? I noticed you have a button for Monday/writing…..
Yes – What Are You Reading is staying- if you click on the What Are You Writing button, it is actually a link to an authors blog. She asked me if she could play off the theme and I love the idea!
You make me laugh, so often. Thanks!
Its the way my mind works Hannah 😀
I think I got it from my mom….
I wanted to do this too but stupid cold/whatever this is is making it hard for me wanting to stay on the pc for very long and I have some reading to do too ugh. Good luck with your updates and Happy Weekend!
Hi Donna – so sorry about the cold! That is a bummer. Hope you feel better soon 🙂
Wow! You really rocked this bloggiesta challenge! Don’t worry about the spare bits under the rug. 😉
Thanks! Things seem to be working fine so far 😛
Wow, you’ve been productive! I didn’t sign up this year, but have been inspired by all of the bloggiesta posts I’ve been reading to work on my blog a little. And I’m sure the spare parts you had left over weren’t too, too important… 😉
It was a good weekend – I really had nothing on my agenda but to do some house cleaning – which I have also accomplished AND PUT THE CHRSITMAS TREE AWAY (lol) while listening to audio 😀
Yep…extra parts are sometimes very unnecessary…
LOL Patty – totally 🙂
Glad you are making progress. I can’t imagine having a blog. My email is a disaster. I hope to get it cleaned up in the next week or so. Way too many unopened emails. I also have several books, etc. I have won that I have not acknowledged which I have always tried to do the day I receive them. Things got backed up in December and it is like a chain reaction pileup on the interstate. Now I am so far behind it looks impossible to recover from.
Its hard to get caught up once you get behind Pat – been there 🙂
Wow, great job! I wish that I had time right now to do some much needed maintenance on my blog, hopefully I can join in next year (right now my girls are 1.5 and 3 so computer time doesn’t come easily!)
There will be one in the fall too Bonnie. And you can put as much or as little into it as you wish or have time for 🙂
Awesome! I am long overdue for a bloggiesta myself!
