Morning! The best laid plans right? In my head I was going to be up and at work by 6 am this morning. I was going to have many things ready as I start training my replacement this week (yes, I am morphing my position at work – a good thing, no worries). However, instead I slept like a log and didn’t open my eyes until moments ago.
Yes I have heard of alarm clocks.
Annoying things…. I don’t recommend them. 😛
Anyway I can not even tell you all the balls I have in the air right now because, well I just do not have the time – BUT before I fly out the door I had to have coffee and coffee means I write this post…. because this is my sanity moments of the day.
And I need this.
Like a vitamin.
The weekend was fantastic, I had so much fun at the Book Festival and I do plan on fitting that in again next year. It’s hard to imagine what this was going to be like as the only “festival” related to books I have been to prior to this weekend was BEA, and well – you just can not compare the two. Now that I have seen it, I know how I can do it better next year. For one, I would be sure to sit in on several of the panels so I can hear what these bookish people have to say.
As I fly out the door there are a few pics I did not use in my weekend posts and I wanted to add them because they are just fun.

Great photos! I love seeing people “secretly snapped” readaing books!
I don’t think they know I took that one 😀
Ack. The I-woke-up-late feeling is terrible! Hope you’re able to shake it off and have a good day anyway!
Hannah – yes, totally – feels like you are behind all day then! I wanted to be in the office super early to be organized for my training session but instead I made it at my normal time…. which worked out ok. 😀
I know what you mean about all the balls in the air. I have a lot up there, too, but I have a feeling you have even more.
I am trying to organize them Kathy and with this new hire things will become more manageable again. 😀
Yes, balls in the air…a familiar feeling! Hope you have a good day….
Love the pix….
Thanks Laurel 😀
I’ve had to use the alarm clock the past two week because we had workers coming to the house and this morning I had to get my son to the dentist by 8:15 to have 2 wisdom teeth pulled. I woke up an hour before the alarm went off. It has been so nice not having to use one. An advantage of no longer having a job I guess.
Today is catch-up day. I wonder how far back I’ll have to go?
I usually do not need an alarm clock Pat, I have that internal alarm that wakes me up about 6 am daily no matter what I time I went to bed…. I think however the cold I have has thrown off the internal alarm 😀
I have no love for the alarm clock either, but with two girls in grade school and middle school, I have to be a slave to one for awhile longer LOL…
Glad you had such a good time at the festival. I’m going to my first one very soon….
Deb takes lots of pictures I want to see the festival and hear all about it! 😀
I slept all the way to 11 am and probably still would not gotten out of bed if somebody hadn’t woken me. And for the whole first hour I was plotting ways to go back to sleep. Today is just not going to be a good day. I hope I’m not getting a cold.
OOH – I dont think I have ever slept until 11! Hope you are feeling ok!
It looks like you had fun on the weekend. I hope you weren’t late for work.
I wasn’t late Vivienne, I just had hopes of being a couple hours early this morning so things were prepped really well for my training.
Oh well… tomorrow is another day and I will try again 😀
I didn’t even get to bed until after 6 this morning and I woke up at 10:00.
I’m tired and not in much of a mood for anything, but I still gotta do what I gotta do.
Hope your day goes well!
Vicki I feel run down too… must be the time of year or something. I get home and I have no energy…. hate that. 😀
Fun pictures 🙂 I hope you had a great day!
Thanks Amy – the day did go pretty well and we actually accomplished a lot today. Tomorrow will be more website oriented but the training will be good. 😀
I set 2 alarms and STILL have a problem getting out of bed in the morning! Not enough hours in the day to get everything done…
I hear you Liz…. I cant accomplish it all either. GAH! 😀
You slept because your body needed it – I’m happy you did. 🙂
Thanks Jill, I think you are right. 🙂
Ha, I totally didn’t know you took that picture! I’m stealing it for my post about the book festival 🙂
It’s all yours Kim 😀
I love this! 🙂
They were fun pics Reagan 🙂
