I feel good. This is the start to day 3 of the Game On Diet that I am participating in with 12 other bloggers and I am doing pretty well so far. I am keeping an ongoing journal for the month here, but you can check it any time by clicking on the widget on the right sidebar. No big ranting yet… but I am sure it is coming. 😀
Last night I made dinner for Al and I out of the Game On Diet book. Shhh…. don’t tell Al, he has no idea what he ate was actually good for him! I made the mango chicken and it was super yummy! The mango salsa really was amazing and I think when this is all over and we have company I am so making that salsa!
Here’s a couple of pics (because – I am a picture-taking fool!)

So good and covered all the vegie, fruit, and protein I needed out of the meal. SO yay! 😀
Ok – other than food, I wanted to mention that while I traveled the blogosphere looking at the Monday memes and what everyone is reading – I picked up a couple I had to connect with at my local library. When blog surfing (which I have learned does not count as my twenty minutes of exercise for the Game On Diet) I like to keep my online library reserve link open so I can plug-in titles as I see them.
Ok coffee cup and I need to get a move on it. I may bike into work this morning if I think I can do it without hitting and road work. GAH. I know… I said it. ROAD WORK.
Review coming up today that is not only SQUUUEEEE worthy (and it is) it is also thought worthy. Hope you can all stop by! (yes, that was a bit Southern of me and I do not know why…. perhaps it is the Mango chicken….)

That looks really tasty! I love chicken, and the mango salsa sounds just yummy. Glad your Game On Diet is going well so far!
So far so good Hilde… it makes me a little nervous, I keep thinking I must be doing it wrong because this seems to be going so slick…. I guess the scale will tell me at the end of the week 😀
That chicken looks delicious! I still can’t figure out why you’re doing the diet, though.
Kathy – you are so sweet! 😀 Honestly – I am 20 pounds heavier than I was last year at this time. That’s why. Yup – 20 pounds! 😯
Yay for yummy (healthy) food!
They’ve had one of our major roads in town torn up for months now. Accidents so much more common on the crowded detour route. 😦
Us too Hannah – what a mess, all the road work. The road is tore up right outside my office and I have to dodge moving equipment to cross the road. Hmmmm… I wonder is that is a work out….. 😆
Well, it’s probably more likely a workout than, say *pulls notion out of thin air* blog surfing …
:p
Nicely played Hannah – I really laughed out loud at this comment! 😀
That’s almost too pretty to eat! And what do you mean blog surfing doesn’t count as exercise? That’s ridiculous. Of course it does. 😛
Well then…. in that case Trisha I am a work out fool…LOL I put in plenty of time 😀
Oh, I so love the look of that mango chicken! Yummy!!
Don’t you love when you find good food that’s also tasty and looks fabulous?
Have a great day.
I do Laurel – there are a few good recipes I want to try here and a couple healthy snackish items too!
That mango chicken looks awesome. I’ve almost picked up mango salsa a time or two but now I really need to start thinking outside the box!
Staci – make it fresh – it is so much better – I cam send you the recipe if you would like.
That mango chicken sounds and looks delicious! I’m hungry now! 🙂
It was so good Nikki-ann! having made it once now I would tweak the recipe spice wise just a bit… while there was a lot of flavor in the mango salsa, the chicken needed a bit more seasoning.
I have food issues (or rather is has issues with me!)… My stomach can’t tolerate hot & spicy food and I’m not supposed to have wheat or lactose. So I usually do have a tinker with recipes… though I have to admit to having more wheat & lactose products than I should!
Nikki-ann, I love spicy foods! I am a total spice nut 😀
That looks yummy! Good luck with your new, healthier lifestyle.
Thanks Laughingstars! 😀
So colorful! Looks yummy! I would say that eating healthy gives you more energy, but girl, you don’t need any more of that! 🙂
You never know Jill – I could take the energy and store it in jars…… Hmmmmm 😀
Yum, that looks good! Good luck with the diet. 🙂
Thanks Michelle – its all good 😀
Good luck with the Game On Diet. I bought it to read on my Kindle but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I did start my own version of the plan yesterday though. I’ve got 114 days until I leave on my trip to Hawaii so I have plenty of incentive to stick to the plan!
I hate to speak too soon – BUT, I may go another round in September….. if I do I can let you know if you would care to join. 😀
Let me know if you decide to do it in September, I may definitely want to join. So far so good on my plan…day two is coming to an end!
Ok Kathleen :D. I did pretty good today (day three here)…. I had a hectoc work day and got goofed up and missed my morning snack meal so lost 6 points there. I have an early day tomorrow so already know I am losing my points for the 7 hours of sleep too…..
HOWEVER- I feel good enough to weigh myself tomorrow morning just to peek at any progress (fingers crossed!) 😀
I’ve never had mango chicken before but I’ve heard of some good recipes for it. Looks yummy though.
The mango chicken meal sounded good. I have so many bad habits to break. I do think, however, that my biggest problems are portion control, carbs, and lack of exercise. That is pretty much the problem with most people I guess.
Sounds like you are doing great. Keep it up.
