Good morning! I hope everyone’s weekends went well. I had a little hangout time with Chance (Kinship Partner) On Sunday afternoon. We went and hung out at a small touristy town near us called Nisswa Minnesota. It’s a fun little town to just explore and that’s what we did.
Here’s a few pics of what we did:

Ok…. sorry about the photo shoot, but for a couple of time wasters, we had a blast! We ended up at Rainy Day Book Store. They always have large basket of ARC’s that you can donate $2 a piece for. The money goes to the Nisswa library fund. I dug through the box and came out with these:
I am off to work. I have a pretty easy week coming up but there is a slight chance I may be in Texas next week for training. Not too big of a chance, but a chance all the same and that would make my scheduling (I am at the cabin this weekend) become a bit intense. We will see…… hate to turn down an opportunity.
Review coming up later today! Hope your day is wonderful! Is anything fun happening out there?

Sounds like you had a lovely Sunday.
I want to read By Fire By Water…hope you enjoy that read.
Anything fun? hmmm…no planned “fun”, but am thinking that the unexpected “fun” moments will pop up. 😀
Ibeeeg, I thought Fire by water looked pretty good to. Have a great start to your week!
Looks like you and Chance had a blast! I love those fruit sunglasses. I need to get me a pair!
Isnt that funny Vicki? Its a shop called The Fun Sisters and it is all crazy girly stuff like huge purses, clothing, and more.
Those sunglasses are you! I hope Chance found some books too.
Kathy he did – he is such a reader! We really likes war stories and whenever I can find him some I grab them. 😀
Looks like you two had a fun time, I love the photos, so cute. Nothing exciting going on in my life, same old, same old.
Thanks Ann – sometimes I really like same old same old….. great reading days and hopefully a bit of time to relax 🙂
Which did you choose – Edward or Jacob?
Well Barb… how does one choose? LOL. Actually this is a great debate between my friends and I and I always go to the book – not the movie.
I tell them that the character of Edward is what the girls are liking because he represents “the guy”… the guy that loves her no matter what, endless devotion, his love is so powerful in the book of course the young girls are going to swoon a bit.
Of course – in the movie I laughed and found him to be a tab bit….. “stalkerish”. 😀
What a fun-looking day! We just found out the friends who were planning to visit this next weekend aren’t able to make it. While we’re terribly sad to not see them, I think we can use the time.
Hannah – plans changing? Sounds familiar! 🙂 Do something fun! (I think I really am on for the cabin this weekend…. I have two yes’s from my friends!) Blueberry festival here we come! 😀
Ooh, did you say blueberry festival?!?!? That sounds amazing! And I hope you do get to go to the cabin this weekend. I don’t know if we’ll do something fun this weekend or just use the time to recuperate and get ready for the upcoming couple weeks of fun, but either way, it’ll be good. 🙂
I did Hannah – we went last year and it was just small town fun (kind of sounds like something that would be done in Stars Hollow- LOL).
Love the photos! Fun, fun, fun! Handsome guys and beautiful flowers and crazy sunglasses, what more could we want? It made my day.
It was fun Tea…. we just went for something to do and we wound up having a blast! 😀
The Rainy Day Bookstore sounds like fun too. I love Morning Meanderings.
Thanks Tea!
You’re always doing fun, crazy activities, Sheila. Especially with your book club and doing that crowning of the queen? It cracks me up that you claim to be an introvert. Is it possible to be an extroverted introvert?!
Lynne I am an introvert…. I think I am just really good at pushing myself out of my comfort zone! 😀
I have said that before too – could I be an extroverted introvert? I like doing fun things – but tend to eventually over dose on people and need a “get away!” 😀
Well it looks like you had a great day together and even came across some great books!
We did Jo-Jo! 😀
Fun photos, Sheila! And that Rainy Day Book Store sounds fabulous…
Thanks Laurel – its a cute store but the books are so pricey (small tourist town Minnesota)
Love the sunglasses you two were wearing!!!
Staci – they are in this shop and they have all types! It was fun just to pick them and try them on. 😀
I’m so jealous of you standing next to R-Patz and Taylor! Hubba hubba! Looks like you had a great day out.
I Have the Mitchell Kaplan book too – looking forward to reading it.
Sounds like a couple of us are going to be reading that one book Whisperer 🙂
Lol! Those glasses are awesome! I’m having a boring day here. I’ll probably do a little cleaning, post a review, and start a new book.
Ladytink – A boring day would be awesome – enjoy it 😀
Good books you found. I have BY FIRE, BY WATER and am looking forward to reading it. It deals with such a dark time. It certainly gives a much different view of Isabella than we usually get. The cover is taken from a picture of Columbus pleading his case to Isabella and Ferdinand’s court. This is Isabella which is not as I pictured her.
The other 2 books are part of series and should be good.
Looks like you had fun. We all need to let our inner child out to play once in a while : )
Pat I always carry my inner child with me 😀
I like what you shared here about the cover of the Fire By Water book. The more people keep commenting on it the more I want to read it 🙂
By Fire By Water sounds fab and Meg Cabot is always a must.
Oh and I’m so glad I’m not the only adult that still loves swings 🙂
Andrea would you believe I have yet to read Meg Cabot? I need to correct that soon 🙂
Meg’s books are great when you need a pick-me-up. They are so fun and happy.
It looks like the two of you had a great time. By the way, I love your necklace! Happy Tuesday! 🙂
Thank you Jill!
I love the title of today’s post! And is the Rainy Day book store in Nisswa? Looks like you guys had fun!
LOL Julie! Yes The Rainy Day book store is in Nisswa 😀 How far are you from me? We should connect sometime and try to meet up for lunch!
Loving the Edward and Jacob cut outs. I could find a space in my house for them.LOL.
LOL – I could too Vivienne…. in my Library… on either side of my reading chair….. like body guards….LOL
ha! Love the photos!! Umm…do you think you could introduce me to your friend Jacob? 😛
He’s hot right Christina? LOL 😀
