Morning Meanderings…

Morning all.  We wound up going to the 10 pm showing of Eclipse last night.  The plan was to go to the 2:25 pm, but both Wendy (who I was going to the movie with) and I, were in a planning meeting until after 2 pm and the timing just wasn’t right. I really enjoyed the movie and some moments were laugh out loud funny…. others really made you think.  We had a good conversation on the way home about the over all effect of the movie – good vs. evil, and of course I love the fact that two lifelong sworn enemies (the vamps and the werewolves) come together for a greater cause, and you start to see what may be the beginning of peace between these two tribes.

What they leave out of this clip is what is said next – and that’s really what I wanted to show you.  Jacob then goes on to say, “and she broke her hand punching me in the face.  It’s complicated.”

This morning I woke up to an email that said my cluster map has been reset as it has been a year since I had signed up for it.  The cluster map is the little map thing way down on my right sidebar that keeps track of where people are visiting my blog from.  Its kind of cool, and when I first put it on the blog, I looked at it every couple of days…. it fascinated me.  Now – a year later, I have kind of ignored it, but today I took a look at the stats of a year and it was kind of interesting:

Well, some of its interesting anyway.  Today I work – and then blade or bike, not sure yet but think I may just throw in my ear buds and hit the trail for a while.  I have had a lot of requests to get the Wordshaker Book Club rolling again and I plan too, I just need to create a group to connect with those who I know are interested as well as a form to sign up on for those who want to be included.  I let this lapse way to long but am hoping to have that ready to go live sometime in the next few days.

Ok – I am babbling….. I am coffeed up and need to get out the door!  Later!  😀

    1. Hannah – right. I remember at first when someone from out of the country would link to me I would always wonder how they ever found me. It is interesting to see where people are coming from. 🙂

  1. I think these stats confirm you as an international celebrity. 🙂 I wonder too how some of those people found you. Never would have thought that a young woman in Minn. would enter her thoughts and her reactions to books on a device and people all over the world would log on to her site and enjoy her posts. At 70, I’m constantly amazed at our world.

    1. Exactly Barb – a little over a year ago I actually argued with my boss who thought I should start blogging and let other people read my stuff. I had a blog – but it was private and people I didn’t know – reading what I wrote was unheard of and spooky. I am from Minnesota after all…LOL 🙂

Now he (my boss) just laughs at me….

  2. I hope you didn’t have to type all of that info into your post! Hopefully you could copy and paste! lol

I know, weird thing to think about! It is an interesting piece of info, and congrats on the international hit that you are!

    1. Jill when you click on the cluster map on the bottom right it breaks down where your visitors are coming in from. The little countries are the ones that really surprise me…. I picture this lone person clicking in…. I wonder if some of them can even read these english posts?

  3. Hi Sheila !
Yeah India is fifth on the list !!!!!
Yeah Eclipse has realised in India !!!!!!
Boo….. I can’t go because of tutions and studies…….but it is ones duty……okay I am sounding like a nun !

Have a great day Sheila !!!!

  4. Thats great you have some many visitors from ALL over!!
    Congrats!
I can’t wait to see Eclipse. Sounds like a great view!
    Hugs

  5. Wow, that’s pretty unbelievable Sheila. I’m embarrassed to admit, but a couple of places, I’ve never even heard of. 🙂

  6. Love the stats! But love your reaction to Eclipse even more. I feel so justified that almost everyone who is reviewing it is NOT a teenager but a mom or someone my own age. I love that we can prove the critics wrong. All this talk about Eclipse makes me want to see it again. (And you highlighted one of my favorite scenes in the book and the movie)

    1. Michelle there were some good parts in the movie like Jacobs line “I’m hotter than you”, I seriously laughed more than I would have thought I would. 🙂

  7. How cool. It is great to see how many people and where they are from are visiting your site. Congratulations.

Haven’t see ECLIPSE yet. Not sure when I’ll get a chance. The library didn’t do anything for this movie. Too bad.

Hmmmm... what do you think?
