Good morning! I have to say thank you to everyone that stopped by yesterday to send well wishes on my first official blogiversary. I was overwhelmed with the response and laughed a lot at your fun comments. A+ for creativity! People arrived by row boats to cruise ships, palanquins, trains, parachutes, limos, on the Black Pearl, bikes, dog sled, roller blades, water bomber, horses, rainbows and more. Seriously – if you have some time just read some of the comments…. I laughed all day long. And I haven’t even mentioned the yummy food! I also did what I always try to do and that is respond to your comments, after all – it was a party and I had to mingle with the guests. 😀
Personally I would have taken the flu powder way…. but that’s just me 😉
And maybe next year it will be interesting to see who traveled the farthest to get here. Petty Witter came from England, and Book Whisperer from UK, or is it CCQDesigns who came from the Galapagos Islands?
Today I am thankful to be past this milestone and moving a toe into year 2. This afternoon I am really excited to meet up with a friend I have not spent time with for 20+ years. I graduated with Ann and we connected on Facebook. She is meeting me today to go biking on the bike trail after I get off work. It will be so fun to hang out and catch up on the years.
And tonight…. I may do nothing. I need a nothing night. I look forward to a nothing night. The nothing night will be mine… My Precious….

Have a great ‘nothing night’……..the comments were seriously funny ! My day is going well and got a book to finish so will see you…..and your review (yuck ! this is the pits, comes from reading so much poetry).
Thanks Fiza…. I imagine I will get in a little reading tonight which would be awesome. I have hardly picked up a book all week.
*stumbles in* Did I make it? Oh, crap? I thought arriving sitting cross legged on a sea turtle would be dramatic, but I totally forgot how slow these things are. Anyway, happy belated blogoversary! And I hope you enjoy your nothing night. I love nothing nights – and from time to time, nothing days. 😉
Trisha – LOL. Totally cracked me up here 🙂
oh and nothing weekends too – they are awesome. 🙂
You should totally track how far everyone comes next year. Although, if people got to travel all these imaginative ways, who’s to say they won’t come from imaginative locales? I myself may come by way of Pluto (or the nonplanet formerly known as Pluto) …
Hannah – Pluto – awesome! Love it! What a great idea! 🙂
Okay, I guess I missed the whole point…lol. I described my “literal” journey.
Anyway…a nothing night is definitely something I need, too!
Have fun biking with your friend.
Laurel – you could do whatever you wanted with “your travels”. A few people gave a literal journey. Either way – it was fun to reminisce and/or see people’s creativity! You can certainly tell we are readers LOL!
Enjoy your day and your bike ride with your friend 🙂 Sounds like so much fun! Oh ya, and enjoy your “nothing” night! I had a nothing day yesterday ~ it.was.divine!
Thanks Loren, I am kind of excited to catch up with her. 🙂
And yes looking forward to my evening “unplugged” (although more than likely I will be plugged because I will probably do some online stuff. 🙂
Awww–I missed your blogaversary! 🙂 Congratulations–you are a role model for newbies to blogging! Keep up the good work, I am enjoying your journey! I’m a teacher in my last week of school and I’m busy, busy, busy with working all day and some not-to-be-missed event each evening. I finally get to my book at the end of the evening and wake up an hour later with reading light in my eyes and barely a paragraph read before I stumble to bed! I look forward to a ‘nothing night’ soon (Enjoy yours tonight, Sheila!)
Thanks Linda! Ooh last week of school! I bet you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! 🙂
Have a restful eve.
Thanks Esme – hope you are catching a bit of a break too!
Sheila,
Enjoy you day Bike riding with your school chum, Ann.
Enjoy your “Nothing” night. You deserve it.
Thanks for Bookjourney.
Thanks Rebecca 🙂
FINALLY made it back home on my unicycle. What a party, Sheila! What’s funny is that after reading all the comments I feel like I really was at a party. Don’t you? It’s neat how words alone can transport you to another place. I guess that’s why we all love reading so much.
P.S. Are there any leftovers?
Lynne it really did! I love the way everyone responded! It was fun to picture the different transportation all over my yard…LOL and the food and the people mingling. I felt like I was a hostess chatting with you all. 😀
Ooh forgot – yes, tons of leftovers. All those desserts and yummy dishes! I really wanted to be there!
Yeah but think about all the calories we saved. lol
I just recently reconnected with my BFF from 22 years ago via Facebook!! We lost contact after I moved to Florida and I was thrilled to talk to her again. It was like we had never been apart.
Have a great time with your friend and enjoy that bike ride. Wish I was going to the trail today.
Vicki – it is cool! And I love that I am not nervous at all, I am going to see a friend and I am excited to see her and hear where life has taken her.
A night of nothing is probably just what you need after all the excitement this week. Every girl needs a night of nothing sometimes – Enjoy!
I hope you had fun rekindling your friendship, that’s great.
Jill it is really what I need. It is 6 pm here and I am finally done running for the day. Bliss.
oohh..I love meeting friends! So many things to catch up ;p hope you have a wonderful day!
I did Darlyn – thank you. 🙂
Oh boy! He’s in really bad shape. (: gulp, back away, close down the computer.
Tea you made me laugh!
