Morning Meanderings…

This morning…. I am studying Coffee Cup and wondering if there is a way I can put my face to the cup instead of lifting it to my mouth.  Perhaps if I had a straw….

I am tired.

The crazy busy schedule between work, hiring, meetings, volunteering, and keeping a home is taking me through the ringer.  Last Friday I requested for and was approved to work 10 more hours a week at our Church Office.  Starting a 4th service in April I needed to be able to do my job well and not feel like I am always playing catch up.  The hours were approved and now I am in the adjustment phase.  🙂

I feel as though I lost my super hero cape….

So – I was going to put the February winners up last night and …. uh…… yeah.  Didnt happen.  However, tonight Al has dinner with friends to share his Honduras trip and I will have a few hours this evening to myself and that is my goal for that time – to do a little blog catch up.

If you haven’t seen me visiting lately, I apologize….. I will get there.  I enjoy visiting all of you who visit me – plus I need to get around to all the Monday Memers too.

A little later today I have a review coming up of a wonderful book called Still.  It is by a Minnesota Author.  Stay tuned 🙂

  1. Oh, good morning! Yes, maybe a straw would work!

And you’re going to take on more hours? I think you are one of those people who already has that super-woman cape!

    1. I need to Laurel – the office is getting to busy to do it in the hours I do. I am part time so it is still not full time hours and I do not want full time. 🙂

  2. Sheila, you take it easy. It’s OK if a few things here slide. Remember, this is supposed to be fun, not a duty. I say this as someone who has faced a similar dilemma. Everyone will still be around when you have a bit more time. 🙂

  3. I hope things settle down for you soon. I know what you mean by feeling exhausted though…last week I woke up early almost every day and did some exercises…but not this week! I’m just plugging away til the weekend!

    1. My exercise routine has fell out the door Jo-Jo. I really need to get going on it. Biking season is coming and I want to be fit and ready to roll! 🙂

  4. No worries Sheila! We all get busy now and then (or all the time…LOL!).

I also wanted to mention something. I’m not sure if you were a follower of Bella at A Bibliophile’s Bookshelf, but she has recently announced that she will no longer be blogging. She was hosting the 101 Fantasy Reading Challenge and I took the challenge over for her. I created a dedicated blog for the challenge and I was searching the internet for a header/badge image for the blog. I came across this wallpaper site that had great fantasy images. To make a long story short, imagine my surprise when I came on your blog and saw that your blog button is exactly the image I used. I had never noticed it before and I promise I did not steal it from you. I hope you don’t mind if the image is used for the challenge. I hate to change it now as Bella photoshopped the button for me and I hate to ask her to do it again. If you want to take a look at the challenge blog and badge, here’s the link:
Please accept my apologies…I should have been more observant. If it really bothers you, I can change it.

  5. I’m behind on a lot of bloggy stuff, too, right now. Maybe I’ll catch up tonight, too (she said, with a hopeful, almost wistful, lilt to her voice).

    1. Hannah I am hoping to have a few hours tonight of blissful blogging 🙂 I just have to run and do orientation on my crew serving for the homeless tonight and then the evening is mine – WOO HOO!!! 🙂

  6. I know how you feel. I can’t seem to get everything I need to do done and it’s frustrating!

Hope you catch up soon and things slow down for you!!

Hmmmm... what do you think?
