It is Friday! F R I D A Y!!! Woo Hoo! I had a long and busy Thursday and did not get back into my house until 7:30 last night. On the bright side, I accomplished a lot yesterday and there is something to be said for a productive day. Seriously…. it makes me feel…. taller. 🙂 Even Coffee Cup thought so…
Today though is work all day and then fun tonight! I will be in my office today catching up on some projects. Then this afternoon I am interviewing a girl to work in our business office. After that – let the games begin!
Tonight my friends Heidi and Sara are coming over and we are having chicken fajita and watching a movie or two. Just a low-key hang out night. There is a group of us that tries to get together once a month and who ever can make it makes it. It was my turn to pick for February and here I come scraping in a t the last second due to a BUSY month.
This will be fun and relaxing…. and I am sooooooo looking forward to it.
I wish I had a group of friends down here! I don’t though, so I usually get to spend Sunday afternoon’s out by myself just reading at a coffee shop or seeing a movie. It’s a much needed escape!
I like that too Lydia – I just like to catch up. I live in a house full of boys…. I need the girl break! 🙂
With that schedule, I don’t know how any reading is going to get done!
When I get together with friends, I like to partake of entertainment together– a Broadway show, amusement park, etc. It usually ends up being just a movie, which I enjoy, but you can’t interact with your friends much during a film.
Laura
Laura – I have been doing a little at night but not a lot this week.
If we do a movie we try to do dinner with it so we do have talk time.
When I get together with friends it’s food and chit chat.. We talk and giggle ( we still do that 🙂 ) till someone comes to remind us that we need to behave like adults ..
Shweta, “those people” need to go away… LOL
Much rejoicing for Friday’s arrival from this corner, as well!
Yes – have a good weekend Hannah!
Hey, you too!
I like to scrap with my friends. We meet up once a month and spend the day scrapping together and I find I always feel so much better afterwards.
Tonight sounds like fun. I hope you have a great time.
Scraping sounds fun too Vivienne! I am so tired right now but I know I will enjoy my time with them.
Yay for Friday’s! Have a great time hanging out with your friends and chillaxing 🙂
I agree Jeannie!
Oh I like watching movies with my friens and just eat fabulous food! 🙂 Just really relax. Well I’m off I have to go work!
I am making fajitas Nina!
Sounds like an ideal evening. A little food, a little wine, maybe a book joins the discussion at some point, maybe not. This is my idea of an evening with friends. Food and Fun!
Oh yes – there are always books to dicuss Deb! 🙂
Oh, yum, chicken fajitas!
Sounds like so much fun! When I get together with friends, it’s usually about food and gabbing. Barbecues, usually, since we don’t seem to get together as much in the winter. During the cold season, it’s usually meeting up at a restaurant somewhere.
I am too tired to go out anywhere Laurel so this is perfect….. these are the comfy friends where I can be in sandels and rolled up jeans….. look exhausted and feel right at home 🙂
Most of my friends are also my relatives. My mom is my best friend…we do pretty much everything together. We like to go out to eat, go to movies or watch movies at her house, and, of course, going to book sales…our favorite past-time! When I get together with my cousins, we usually go out to a karaoke bar. I’m really the only one that sings (unless my sister is in town), but we all enjoy watching all the other singers. It’s a blast!
Sounds like you have a great weekend planned. Have fun!
Michelle – that is a wonderful thing! My mom and I were pretty close too and I can tell you be happy about that and never take it for granted. 🙂
Oh and I have a couple fun loving cousins too – they are who I bike ride with and if my cousin Jarrod has his way – i will be jumping out of a plane with him one of these days. (He is a trainer)
TGIF is right! Thursdays can be busy for me also, when I bowl I don’t get home til about 9:30…yikes. Tonight I’m going out for mexican and planning on having a margarita…that’s one of my favorite things to do with my friends. Enjoy your night with the girls.
Yum – Mexican and margaritas! 🙂
I have a set of 3 girlfriends that we have a standing once a month dinner–the object is to try something new or something you would not pick on just a regular night out. It is so much fun and a great way to catch up!
Those nights are great Felicia! This group I am with tonight we meet once a month. We have done murder mysteries, stayed in mansions, went to Wisconsin Dells, dancing, pig races (yes – pig races) you name it!
Eat and talk of course!! 😀
Enjoy your evening with the girls!
Thanks Staci – I plan too 🙂
Woo-hoo! A girl’s night! I am jealous. 🙂
I am soooo looking forward to this Stephanie….. think I need some 80’s music…. LOL
We always include food when we get together! We pick a theme and everybody brings something. If it’s an evening gathering there’s usually games after dinner, and we do afternoon gatherings with outdoor activities and food after.
Enjoy your night with the girls!
I love game nights Jody!
I am always up for watching movies or playing board games. I should do it more often with my women friends, but many have young children which seems to complicate our social lives.
I remember those years Helen!
Sounds like fun-enjoy yourselves.
Thanks Esme – hope things are wrapping up for you and you are able to get a break! 🙂
I love girl time! I have a diverse circle of girlfriends but on any given Saturday I can find myself either hiking, running, biking or chatting over coffee.
And we always have chick-flick movie dates – usually around the time Twilight films are released. LOL!
Maryrose I love all those activities too. I have friends who like different activities and I surround myself with those who like movies, rollerblading, biking, coffee, etc…
Love fajitas! We usually meet for Mexican food somewhere, as none of our husbands like fajitas or burritos.
Have fun with your friends, and hope you have a great weekend as well! 🙂
Thanks Alexia!
Sit around, relax, have an easy meal and drinks. It can be out, or at one of our homes. Actually, I prefer it be at a home, a much more relaxed atmosphere and no time limits except for family and work. Good friends, good food, good conversation – what more could anyone want?
I prefer home too Pat. No dressing up – just hanging out and chatting.
