Morning Meanderings…

I missed my morning work out.  I had a plan.  I was going to meet Jennifer this morning at 6:30 am at the gym.  I made that plan yesterday around noon when I was all full of energy.   Then…

At home I was so excited to spend my day one of alone time with my laptop, the tv and a book.  That was the plan.  What actually happened was I set up everything downstairs so I was in the recliner with all the above mentioned.  What I like to do is turn on a Gilmore Girls DVD and do my blog surfing and comment responding while this favorite show on mine plays in the background.  When I am done with that I shut off laptop and TV and move on to the book.

Instead I went down stairs all set up to go and called a friend of mine who I hadn’t had the opportunity to talk with lately.  Her and I stayed on the phone for the next two hours.  Then I plunked away a bit online but didnt have a lot of motivation for it.  Instead I watched a little bit of Gilmore, read a little book and planned for my review coming up today and still didnt get into bed until after midnight.

Oh well… now I am here with Coffee Cup kicking myself for not doing my work out but not kicking too hard as I dont want to spill the coffee.

I am calling a do over.  Lets talk about something else.  Who is going to BEA?  BBC?  Let me know if you are!  I am so excited to do both and cant wait to meet those of you who are attending!  🙂  (There.  Thant makes me happy!)

  1. Oh, I SO wish I could go, but it’s hardly anywhere near where I live!

I did go to BEA in 2008 when it was in LA. I was so jazzed about it…for weeks before and weeks afterward!

BTW, you know what they say about best laid plans. Besides, maybe you needed to do just what you did!

    Have a great day!

  2. Every now and then things just don’t go as planned and we just need to go with the flow. I’ve learned from experience (and from Denise Austin’s latest book) that relationships with women are so important, so I truly believe that your time spent on the phone was very much needed. Your friend may have needed it more than you!

  3. I love The Gilmore Girls.. and I’ve spent days like that. I should work out this morning, but .. I have a headache and bleh. I don’t want to.

    1. LOL Michelle – I like to do it in the am otherwise it seems like it hangs over my head all day…… lurking over me.

Oh bummer you will not be at BEA. Hopefully another year.

  4. The best laid plans……

I wish I could go, but due to commitments at home am unable to. I live vicariously through others like you. Can’t wait to hear all about it!

  5. That sounds pretty blissful to me: laptop, good TV, books, and a recliner! Sign me up. Unfortunately, I can’t go to BEA or the convention 😦

  6. 6:30 to workout, thats awesome. I should start doing that! Well I’ll have to work on that :0)
Wish I could go to those fun events but sadly I can’t. sigh.. Oh well .
