Morning Meanderings…

Hi people!  🙂

Yes – I had a total brain melt down yesterday and started a morning Meandering about 5 times and stopped….. deleted, and started again.  I couldn’t put anything together so left for work without doing one.  Of course, while I am driving to work my head fills with ideas of things I cold have chatted about.

Here are a few of those things…..

You may have noticed that Word Verification Balderdash, that fun meme I created and played every Thursday has not been on here for a while.  I just honestly have not had time to keep up with it, and if I had a review going up that day suddenly I had a saturation of posts:  the meandering, Word Balderdash, a review….  it just became too much.  However – I do love the play on words and didn’t want it to die off, so I passed it and all rights to it to the one who could come up with incredible words every week:  Ryan at Wordsmithonia.  If you have not stopped by to see this master of all things Balderdash at work I suggest you do – if we were playing Balderdash in real life the man would win consistently!  🙂  Thanks again Ryan!

I also recently did an interview for Reading Minnesota and in that interview I was telling them some of my favorite reads from last year and I mentioned a set of books that have always held a special spot in my heart, Nora Roberts Three Sisters trilogy.  I had explained that while I was not a Roberts fan, these were not your typical Roberts books.  What I failed to do – was mention these books by name and I have had people asking.  The book titles are:  Dance Upon The Air, Heaven and Earth, and Face The Fire.   I highly recommend these books!

So now that I have done a bit of housekeeping I must grab Coffee Cup (and a water bottle too!) and head out to the gym.  Have a wonderful morning and I will be back a little later!  🙂

  1. Wow! I was without my computer for a couple of days (posting on the library one, which is not very satisfactory!), so I couldn’t browse much. I was back on mine late yesterday, and went looking for Morning Meanderings! Alas, not there! LOL.

See how your readers depend on your familiar routines?

While I enjoy playing Balderdash, I haven’t done it in awhile either. But Ryan is a good choice to take it over, if you have too much on your plate. He does have awesome words!

I love Nora Roberts, and I don’t think I’ve read any of the Trilogy books. Must check them out!

  2. So glad that Ryan was willing to take over the Balderdash meme for you, as this is one of my favorites! And I agree that Ryan was an excellent choice as host, as he is the Balderdash King! 🙂

I’m not a frequent Nora Roberts reader but I know that whenever I’m in the mood for a good romance, she never fails to deliver. Will take a look at the trilogy you mentioned. Thanks!

    1. I hope you do take a look at the books Alexia. They are not Noras normal style and Dance Upon The Air was the book that started the Bookies Book Club in 2001 so it will always hold a special place in my heart! 🙂

    1. Oh good Lydia – wasnt it just so good? I wish Nora would bring the characters back… i think there is more story that could be told…. like the next generation!

    1. Thats ok Vivienne….LOL almost every morning. If I miss the morning I try to get in an hour in the afternoon. I have a couple friends that help to motivate me and I like catching up with them so that is part of the motivation. I take a couple classes that I love so that helps too 🙂

  3. Thanks for the link to your interview, I just went and read it and it’s fantastic! You have such a busy life! I don’t know how you fit it all in. Going to have to check out that Three Sisters Trilogy now.

  4. I know what you mean about keeping up with everything. I’ve had a busy week and haven’t posted anything 😦 . Sigh, oh well, maybe next week I’ll be more successful.
I’ll have to check out Ryan’s site and play along.
    Natalie :0)

  5. I’m exactly where you are. I’ve had to decide what things I am willing to continue on with and what I am not. The problem is I really want to do them all! Ugh!

  6. That Nora Roberts trilogy is on my shelf waiting to be read, along with several of her other trilogies. If I had to write reviews every week I’d be in trouble. I am way to slow a reader. Of course if I worked on one book at a time instead of 4 or 5, I’d finish one a week.

Hmmmm... what do you think?
