I am foregoing the Morning Meandering today to instead, let everyone know about the upcoming Blogiesta this Jan 8,9, and 10th. The 1st Blogiesta that was held in June 2009 was right when I started blogging and it was not only timely for me – but so helpful. (I will go more into detail on that this Friday at the kick off.)
If you are not familiar with the Blogiesta, pop over to Maw Books Blog and see what it is all about. Basically it is a great way to learn more about blogging, meet new people, and make some blog improvements that you may have been putting off or did not know how to do. There are mini challenges as well as prizes. It is not to late to hop on board and seriously – if you can participate, you wont be sorry. This is like a blog makeover weekend!
Head over to Maw Books and see all the details on this wonderful event – I would love to do this with all of you!

I’d never heard of this! What a great idea. I just moved my blog over to my own domain and did a ton of housekeeping in the process though.. so perhaps next year.
Lydia there is a lot more than housekeeping – there are great tips as well. 🙂
LOL, I was wondering what Bloggiesta was all about! Thanks for the pointers and good luck! 🙂
I hope you consider it Marie – it really made me the blogger I am today. 🙂
Sounds great! I remember people talking about this last year, but I didn’t participate. Will definitely head over and sign up! Thanks for the reminder Sheila!
Oh great Alexia- it will be fun to do this with you!
Definitely doing it again. Its a great way to get inspired and motivated.
Thanks for the notice!
Yay Natalie! I had such a blast last time and met wonderful bloggers!
What a great idea! I’m bummed I won’t be able to participate, as I have a very busy week-end already.
Thanks for letting us all know though!
Bummer Jody – maybe next time 🙂
I remember coming in at the tail end of it in June…I wasn’t participating, but I was hearing about it. I recall you did a post about it, and had some items crossed out (as completed). I think that’s when I first visited your blog.
And, of course, that’s when I developed the blogging craze!
I must admit that I added another Word Press blog yesterday!
I’ll be working on that one for the Bloggiesta.
It’s at http://laurelrainsnowswonderland.wordpress.com.
Long URL! I kept submitting things until finally that one took. It wasn’t my first choice!
Good to have you participating Laurel!
I gotta get over and sign up; there are so many things I need to work on on my blog and it would be great to get them done and out of the way for the year.
The timing is wonderful Lisa and last time I learned a lot in the mini challenges. I am excited to see what I will learn this time.
Thanks for posting this, I hadn’t even seen anything about it this year and would have missed out!!
Glad to help Vicki! 🙂
Thanks for posting about the Bloggiesta Sheila! I can’t wait! I hope it will even be greater than last time!
Sure Natasha! It helped me out so much as a newbie I hope others who are new will jump on board!
I’ll be joining in this year. Not sure how active I’ll be (more so if it snows tonight…southerners just don’t get out in it at all…I sit back and laugh at them…it’s a northerner thing I guess!). So, praying for snow so I can stay in and read! 🙂
Well then Julie I will pray for snow too 🙂
Just know that your Morning Meanderings are my favorite post and it was missed. 😉 Have fun with your blogging duties. I’m trying my best to catch up with all the welcome comments from the reading challenges. Mercy! That is work. If it’s anything like last year, it will slow down by the end of January. 🙂
Ahhhhhh thanks J Kaye! Morning Meandering is back tomorrow.
I hope things slow down for you soon! Hang in there.
This really sounds neat. I don’t think I will be able to do it though. My weekends are alway crazy because the family has things planned here with us, even if its just cleaning. But I try to spend most of my weekend with the family here since we are always crazy through the week with work and sports and such.
Sounds like fun, enjoy!
My weekends are usually pretty low key. I work out in the mornings but my afternoons are usually free…. I think I will be able to commit to this.
