Its Monday, What Are You Reading?

This weekly meme hosted by J Kaye’s Blog is one of my favorite book moments of the week!  Its the moment when Coffee Cup and I can go into my reading room and browse.   These next two weeks I have no real book commitments other than what I would like to read.  I still have reviews to catch up on posting so stay tuned for a few more Christmas reviews hitting yet this week.

Last week I finished:

A Blue and Gray Christmas by Joan Medlicott

Primal by Mark Batterson

The Ghost, The Egghead’s and Babe Ruth’s Piano by Larry Sweitzer

40 Loaves of Bread by C D Baker with a giveaway too!

I am currently putting the finishing touches on The Heretic’s Daughter by Kathleen Kent and last night I finished listening to Run For Your Life by James Patterson (which was so fantastic!)  Review will be up later today.

As for this weeks plan:

That’s the plan.  Two books I have heard wonderful things about that have been waiting on my shelf.  So this week I say Merry Christmas to me, and I have pulled them down to be the next stories I get to sink into!

What are you reading this week?  Be sure to link up your post over at J Kaye’s Book Blog!

  1. You will love Shiver , I am nearly half way thru and I am loving it . Hush , Hush has been on my radar for quite a while now . Would love to know ur views on it when u are done reading it

  2. I’ve read both of your books listed for this week, hope you love Shiver as much as I did. I’ve got Run for Your Life on audio waiting patiently for me so I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’d love to read The Heretic’s Daughter.
    Have a wonderful week!

    1. Hi Teddyree, I have heard so many good things about Shiver. 🙂 I was thinking it was not on my shelf but it was so I am going to dive into it real soon!

I cant wait to hear your thoughts on Run For Your Life…. I think I am an audio snob now and I blame this audio – it is that good! 🙂

  3. You had a terrific reading week.

Shiver…loved the book. I hope you enjoy the read. I have not read Hush Hush but I am curious. I will be interested in knowing what you think.

    Merry Christmas!

  4. I really liked Hush, Hush!!
I have to get my hands on Shiver. Can’t decide if I should just buy it or get it from the library.
    Have fun with those books!

  5. I do hope you enjoy those two books you hav pulled down. They are on my list to get and read. They sound like I will really like them. I look forward to reading you reviews.

With the holiday this week I am afraid I am not going to get much reading done, but I am currently working on Scorched by Sharon Ashwood.

    Enjoy!

      1. HI Esme…. I havent finished Heretics Daughter yet. I am glad you loved it as I am struggling a bit and finding it slow…. may be just me. I will have to reschedule the review…. I totally spaced it.

If I traveled as mush as you I would want a Kindle too! 🙂

  6. Sheila-I flew home today to the Great White North-darn I hate cold and snow. I have about 10 pages left of The Heretics Daughter-great pick. I loved it and do not want it to end. I need a Kindle so bad-I brought two books for the trip thinking that would be enough-no.

  7. Hush Hush was an alright book for me. I have Shiver but I haven’t read it yet. I’m trying to read some Christmas books to see if I can get into the spirit anymore. It’s just not my year for holidays I guess!

    1. Hi Julie, I read about 5 Christmas books this month and that is more than I usually do. I still have a couple small ones to go. I needed a break so chose the two you see here. 🙂
