If you read yesterdays meandering post you know that I had an early workout with a friend yesterday. What you do now know…. is that i was wrong, and I was not meeting her at 6:30 at all…
I was late.
Turns out we were suppose to meet at 6 am, and I totally goofed it. :0
So today – I did meet her at the designated time of 6 am. That was harder yet to be ready and motivated but I did it and it is amazing how it sets my day off better. For one, after the work out I was able to go get groceries for the white chili I want to make tonight for dinner instead of scrambling to do so after work. Secondly – I arrive not only on time to the office – but early! By the time everyone else gets in today I will well be on my way!
I thought this called for a little music as I am finally getting (just a bit) into the spirit of Christmas. This is my absolute favorite Christmas show…. makes me cry every time.
Here’s an awesome version of this song:

Your early morning workout yesterday inspired me and while 8 am in not early-I am off to the gym.
Oh thats great Esme! Good for you! 🙂
I’m not going to laugh at the goof up I promise, well maybe a chuckle 🙂
I was so excited to see you post the link to the Little Drummer Boy special. I just watched it last night with Aidan and as is usual I cried.
Thanks Ryan… what a pal…LOL
I dint know The Little Drummer Boy was on last night – “doh!” I do have it on video thought 🙂
It wasn’t on, we have it on DVD. We have 2 boxed sets.
The 1st has: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Frosty Returns, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and The Little Drummer Boy.
The 2nd has: How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Year Without a Santa Claus, Rudolph’s Shiny New Year, Nestor, The Long Eared Christmas Donkey, Frosty’s Winter Wonderland, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July.
They are wonderful sets that we get a lot of enjoyment out of. That’s not counting the other Christmas movies we have.
That is awesome you have these on DVD! They sound great!
Okay, now I’m feeling guilty! Never did make it to the gym yesterday. Had the attack of the “lazies.”
Love your post today. I plugged in my earphones and let the music transport me…AWAY.
Absolutely ADORE Neil Diamond’s music!
I pretend I am not a Neil Diamond fan…. then I hear his music and well…. it is good.
A lovely post – I adore that first version of The little Drummer Boy and the video is so cute.
Have you ever seen it Petty Witter? It is so good….
You could not pay me in chocolate to be up and at ’em by 6 a.m.! I don’t know how you do it!
Mmmmmm…. you lost me at chocolate Lisa 🙂
Oh and this morning I did it with a lot of grumbling and pretty funky hair….LOL
Better late than never, which is what most would have been.
Oh but Vicki it was hard to get out of bed!
Six A.M. workout? You’re making me feel like a slug! When are you going to write a post about how you do it all?!
Lynne – I may sound good on paper (err…post) but in reality I crash right along with the rest. 🙂
I hope the rest of your day keeps going great. I’m like you, if I get up early I usually have a more productive day. But oh how I hate getting out of that cozy bed!
Hey Cami! Thanks for popping in! Thats exactly what it is too… my evenings are my down time so the sooner I can get going on the rest and get it done – the sooner I get to cozy up with a blanket and a book! My favorite time!
I’m so impressed that you were at the gym at 6am! I am up at that time (checking book blogs and emails), but certainly not working out. Unfortunately, I am unmotivated when it comes to working out…
Hi Helen! I really have to push myself some days but once I am there – it really does feel great! 🙂
I am just not a morning person. It would help if I didn’t stay up so late every night.
I am with you on that Patricia – the evenings are my time. The house is quite and I can read and do my own thing. This is where I am struggling with these morning work outs. By the time the day is over – I have no energy left to read or blog hop – which I love. 🙂
I need to fix that!
At least you were only thirty minutes off. I was a whole week with one of my appointments this — errr, last week. 😉
LOL J Kaye – then you will love what I have to report in tomorrow mornings post! 🙂
I used to think I could get up and get a work out in before work..yeah right…who am I kidding! I usually work out after work (and that’s just when I feel like it…not so much lately). Maybe now that I have 2 weeks off, I can work out on my Wii Fit some! I admire anyone who can get up early to take care of those workouts. I know if I did do it, my day would go much better! 🙂
