The TBR Pile (otherwise known as “No, I don’t have an addiction at all”

Chance, our Kinship Partner (14 years old) has come to stay with us for awhile.  Having him at my house during BBAW is a blast!  He is having as much fun with these posts as I am.  So when I told him I was going to take all of my TRB off the book shelf and stack them on the floor as tall as I could without them falling, he agreed to take the picture.  What a trooper.

So here it is.  Some are reviews, some are for tours, many are my personal purchases that I have yet to get to.  Either way you look at it – I have plenty to read and it just makes me delighted!

Oh… and yes, my hair is a bit twanky…. must have been from the excitement of stacking all the books up!

  1. Oh, this makes me feel so much better! I haven’t tried taking my TBRs off the shelf and stacking them up, but there’s no room for another book on the shelf! I’ve been feeling so far behind…but it looks like I’m not alone.

    1. I read all the time, almost every night. The ones that are from my personal purchases are any time reads… the ones that I have accepted as reviews and tours I work on to have done in a somewhat timely manner.

    1. For the ones I have accepted from a publisher or author I keep an agenda on and try to do those in order of receiving as much as I can. Many of the books are from my personal choices (two incredible library sales I went to this year and came out with probably about 60 books – many are in this picture)

  2. That’s astounding! Although I have many books around the house that are part of my TBR pile, part of that list is somewhat virtual, waiting for me at the library or bookstore when the time comes!

  3. You’re right…a visual image tells us so much more! Not too long ago, I posted about inventorying my TBR stacks, and I photographed some of the stacks…But yours, standing next to you…well, it says it all, doesn’t it?

  4. Your TBR pile is out of control LADY. You should come to my house-we recently recarpeted the upstairs and I put all the books in the spare bathroom bath tub. I refuse to pull them out without reading them. I banned myself from buying /checking out any new books for awhile.

  5. Man oh man that is a serious stack. I know how you feel. BTW, your hair did make me giggle.

I am with you though nothing (well you know what I mean) makes me happier than looking at my books. It is such a passion for me too!

  6. I’m impressed! … with the size of the book piles, you’re ability to keep them upright, and Chance’s quick snap and steady hand with the photography!

  7. Do you think if stacked them all in a single pile, they would be as tall as you are? 🙂

I wish I had help trucking books for this meme! Do you rent Chance out? 😉
