I have been a fan of John Grisham’s writing for many years (loved The Street Lawyer!). Our book club chose this book as our January read and I was excited as this is Grisham’s first non fiction book.
Based on the true life story of Ron Williamson from Ada, Oklahoma, Grisham tells of his walk in the big league as the up and coming Mickey Mantle to his fall into being accused of a crime he did not commit.
Grisham handles accurate details as he shares the years that Williamson is in prison, the accommodation’s and his fight for justice as the true killer walks free due to police errors.
True to Grishams style, the book holds you to the end as you hope beyond hope for a miracle… a miracle that comes too late.

It’s one of my favorite John Grisham books.
First of all I would like to say superb blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any recommendations or hints? Kudos!
