One of the authors that I have on my list for reading whatever they write... this book is noexception - ~Sheila
When down-to-earth Beth Harrison’s daughter falls in love with the mega-rich Roxy Callahan Gentry’s son, Beth can not believe the rotten luck. Roxy, former Sorority President of Theta Gamma, the same sorority that Beth was in, was not in a category where they would call themselves… friends. Beth had no intention of seeing Roxy, or, for that matter, any of the group that was part of her College life ever again.
Yet here they are.
Of all the guys in all the world, how did Beth’s daughter choose Roxys son as her life partner?
So with a brave face, Beth arrives at Roxy’s soiree, the engagement party for the young couple. Of course, Roxy has spared no expense – a weekend gathering with fancy cocktails – everything coordinated to show that she is still the Queen Bee. She has also invited the other sorority sisters to Beth’s surprise.
This group was there when Sunny, one of the sisters, had died- and secrets from then… are resurfacing now… at a very inappropriate time… and of course, all these years later – there are new secrets that are about to be exposed. And why – WHY does this Palm Springs estate that Roxy and her husband own – look so much like the hotel where Sunny died all those years ago?
You can always count on Author Kaira Rouda to come up with a fun twisty adventure, and We Were Never Friends was worth the wait. I downloaded this on audio on release day and dove right into the world of sorority and secrets and friendemies.
What a fun plot to have the two lovebirds be the offspring of two women who knew each other all those years ago, and not in a great way.
A quick and delicious adventure – Enjoy!
