I am feeling a bit handicapped today – I went in to have the large obnoxious cast taken onn yesterday and instead it was replaced with a bigger – more obnoxious cast. 😦 Apparently my wrist is not strong enough yet and my fiongers need to be more stabalized. *sigh*
But I am not the only thing in my household that is on the blink…
First off…. my bike has been in the bike shop for over a week. I hate that. It’s not that it is that banged up (I hope not anyway)… it’s that they have been too busy to love on it. I am sure they are thinking that a girl in a cast is in no hurry to get her bike back.
They would be wrong. 😀
Secondly… Laptop caught a Virus Sunday evening and hit the black screen of death. I took him in on Monday and they hope to have him ready to go again some time today. This is the same Laptop that died for two days a couple months ago and came back to life… not once, but twice. I know soon I am due for a new one.
Currently I am using hubbies laptop which I just do not like as much as my own. For one – he only uses Internet Explorer and I never use Internet Explorer…. my blog and everything works differently with Explorer. It’s also slower than mine… to comment, takes me twice as long to submit.
So that is what is happening here… everything is getting repaired…including me. Hopefully soon we will all be well running machines again. 😛

Oh, sick computers are almost as bad as a sick person or bike, in my opinion. Mine also caught some viruses on Monday when I was visiting blogs.
So far (knock on wood), my virus protector killed them.
It makes me nervous afterwards, though, and I’m afraid to browse around the web.
Crazy stuff! I think I picked up a virus when I was in Chicago…. I came back to the hotel one evening and had a hit list of them on the screen….
Ugh, poor laptop. Hope he feels better soon. And your hand too!
I just spent a lovely weekend with my laptop reinstalling windows. I had corrupted operating system files and decided it was easier to start over than to repair.

Ugh…. what is with the computer stuff lately?
Oh, I think I was to blame for this one. I am pretty sure it was a bad firefox extension. And really I do know better than to install an unapproved one and I did it anyway.

Michelle – honestly it is driving me nuts… i can not do a lot of the house work and my work outs need to be revamped.
I don’t think laptops have 9 lives like cats. You know they make them so they’ll die too soon and then they can sell you another one. Sorry you had to have another, bigger cast. I’ve never had one (knock on wood) but everyone I’ve known who did have a cast would kill to get it off.

What a pity you still have to wear a cast. Well, let’s just hope it all heals properly so you don’t have any lasting effects of the injury.
I really don’t know where I’d be without my laptop!
My face is almost scar free and my shoulder is looking much better! My leg is still pretty banged up but I am optimistic!
The bottom bracket is loose on my husband’s bike; he took it to the bike shop, and they said they could probably “squeeze it in” sometime next week. As for a tune-up, that’s 3+ weeks out! 😦 So, he’s looking at new rides. This bike is 13 or so years old.
He had a good run with his bike Hannah! In this case it is good I am in the cast otherwise I would have been going nuts without it 😀
Yeah, I believe that! He tried a few at the local shop last night, but he didn’t fall in love. Trying a few more this morning …
He really, really likes how his current bike fits him, so we’ve paid for some semi-expensive repairs in the past. He still might just get it fixed this time, too, if he doesn’t find something he likes.
I had my bike fit to me so I know that is important. Hope he is back on the trails soon – whichever way he goes 😀
He bought a new one yesterday! First real ride this a.m. He’s pretty happy, I think — but still getting used to it, of course. 🙂
