I seen this over at Polishing Mudballs and LOVE this! SO I thought I would try it for this Morning Meandering.
Outside my Window: Over cast skies with a hint of pink shining through…. the snow is melting and there are patches of green among the white…. if this is like past years, it is signs of false spring and we will be hit again a couple more times with big snow falls. I hope not.
I am listening to: Chance getting ready for school.
I am Thinking: I have a couple of author chats to complete and a review. I hope to read a little this morning… and prep packages to mail. I am hoping I can accomplish a lot today and still get reading time as well.
I Am Grateful For: This day off.
I am pondering: The weekend. What should I get done today – what can wait until tomorrow…
I am reading: Olive Kitteridge for Tuesdays bonus book group. I hope to start Black Girl White Girl, and Skipping A Beat over the weekend.
I am photographing: Nothing at the time…
I am listing: “to do’s”
I am creating: something….. the question is, what? 😀
From The Kitchen: Just Al and I tonight so maybe it will be sizzling mushroom covered steaks tonight…
Favorite Thing Of The Week: Justin (College Son) was over last night. We had dinner together and watched a movie before he had to go. AND Brad (Navy son) called last night and I was able to chat with him for a while.
On This Date: I will work on the book a bit and strive to have a well-balanced day

Thanks for the view into your morning! I’m also seeing some false spring out my window this morning but I’m expecting a few more blizzards before May! I did a similar “what I’m loving” post today… must be all that sunshine!
We have had a few pretty good days here Bonnie… it was actually 50 earlier this week… the wind picked up last night and throwing dirt across the roads…. it was like being sand blasted while driving…. GAH! 😀
You still have snow?
I am a To Do list person too. Seem to have hundreds of them!
The “to do” can be overwhelming…. 😀
Yes to the snow…. that usually is here through the end of March and occasionally into April… (not a fan)
Yep, that’s pretty random! :p We had a couple days of warmth — I think it got to 70 at least twice this week — but Monday’s high is supposed to be only 21. 😦
70’s! Oh how I miss that number! 😀
We are hitting lows now too… high of 15 tonight…. “yay”
Yeah, we’ve got lows in the teens forecasted for the next few days, too. Blegh. I was OK with spring being here, you know?
I am so anxious to get biking again…. Spring through Fall is really my kind of weather 🙂
Oh, I know! I don’t like the heat, though. 60-70 is good for me. 🙂
I have to visit the Tax Accountant today….dreaded task!
I posted about it here:
http://rainysnowday.wordpress.com/2011/02/18/weekend-potpourri-taxes-feb-18/
I have Black Girl White Girl on my TBR stacks, and I’ve been wanting to read it…like forever.
What’s stopping me?
Have a great weekend.
Uggggghhhh taxes! 😯
I have to read the book, it belongs to the library 😀
It’s been warm this week here too Sheila, but this morning it is cooler again and the wind is howling like crazy out there!
Wind seems to have mellowed here Joanne. I have not ventured out yet but I will be around 10:45. 🙂
Our snow is melting slowly but at least the driveways and roads are clear. I wish I could find a place nearby to take a walk on these warmer days but everything is slushy, and there is still a coating of glaze on top of the snow on our land. I am longing for spring.
Its icky here too…. not walking weather yet although I have an eye on the bike trail looking to see when it is clear. We have had a warmer week and some rain so I am hoping it just….
goes away. 🙂
Have a good weekend, Sheila
carol
Thanks Carol – you too 🙂
Everything is pretty much always green here (at least when it comes to the grass) – the trees are leafless though. We’re having cold wet weather – 35 degrees and rainy.
How wonderful that you got to see one son and talk to the other on the phone! 🙂 Have a great weekend!
It was a great night Alyce! My Navy son had no idea when he called that College son was home. Justin just popped in for the evening, he lived 3 hours away but had a day off from work so was able to make the drive. We were all in the car returning from the video store when Brad (Navy son) called. 😀
