Morning Meanderings…. When There Are No Words

Good morning!

*takes a large sip of coffee and wipes mouth with back of hand*

I LOVE LOVE LOVE chatting with all of you!  You are like an addiction to me…. I read your comments, I laugh out loud, or think about what brilliant thing you said and then I respond back.  I love the community of blogging and when I comment to you, it is like having a conversation about one of my favorite all time topics:

Books.

Yet occasionally, I will post something that I just let ride without my input.  This happened yesterday when I posted about the controversy currently surrounding the changes to the Huck Finn book.  I wanted to share my thoughts and hear yours as well and I am enjoying seeing the comments come in but I have no more to say about it myself.

Note that this is a rare occurrence…. mainly because “man, I do love to chat with you!”  Blogging to me is so community oriented.  I love the books you recommend to me, the thoughts you share, and I look forward to hearing from you.

I am on a crazy day today – work, work out, 5:00 meeting and a class at 6:30 – 8:00 pm tonight.  I will not touch back to home base until around 8:30 tonight and even thinking about that makes me tired!

I have a post up later today I am pretty excited about so hope you will be able to stop back and know that when I get a chance I will be responding to your comments 🙂  I believe I am naturally chatty…

and caffeinated.  😀

  1. so here’s a question for you……i’ll have a day similiar to yours….get home late, go through the mail, empty the dishwasher, etc…then i’ll read at most a page or two before i crash….it’s taking me forever to get through a book!
will you still be able to physically read something today? (i know you have audio…i’m not counting that)

  2. Chatting with you has really changed a few things in my life. The first thing was that I started to have a lot of coffee with a hell of a lot of milk and sugar….second was my diet and exercise routine which began 6 months ago after my uncle got inspired my your work routine ( and the diet is going strong to my distaste….)……..third, I started to read more books than ever and my room started looking like somewhere where a pig in love with books and not paper would like to chill out……..Fourthly I recently donated a few books to my library and that felt really great……and lastly I have started to come to the conclusion that geography or culture do not form barriers when 2 friends just want to sit down, relax, drink some coffee and discuss life together……and books too !
It has been great being on this blog. And the book reviews totally rock !!
Enjoy your day….I have to get back to my History textbook.

    1. LOL I love this comment Fiza – I especially love this:

      I totally agree!

  3. Have a wonderful day — it’s freezing cold here and your hot cup of coffee is tempting me to make more 🙂

p.s. I LOVE coming here each morning, especially because you do share your personal thoughts on more than just books. xox

  4. Sounds like a full day! I hope you enjoy it. And it’s great having you and your daily posts to look forward to each day – you really make a difference, thanks! 🙂

  5. I ran out of coffee before your post popped up in my inbox! Not because you were late, but because I’ve been up since 3:30 a.m. I know, crazy! But last night, I was tired and went to sleep at 8:30! So naturally, I’d had enough sleep by 3:30. I watched The Good Wife and Parenthood on my DVR (one of your favorite actors is on that show…Lauren Graham); and then I got on the computer, checked e-mails, and started working on my WIP for a challenge I’m doing.

    Long story short…coffee all gone!

    Should I make more?

    1. Laurel – I love Lauren Graham but have not really got into the show Parenthood…. I guess I am afraid it will not compare to my Gilmore experience 😉

And yes – I am getting back to you late … but make more! 😀

  6. I must have missed your previous post, but let me ask, what class do you take?

Although, I just subscribed to your blog few weeks ago, I enjoy leaving comment and checkin your reply. lol

    1. Aleetha our church offers life classes and tonight is the start of a DVD study of Jerusalem…. as busy as I am…. I really want to do this one.

I also take Zumba classes, group power classes, and seasonally – cooking classes (yup – laughable!)

  7. Just a quickie of a question…do you drink coffee all day long or just in the morning and…what kind of coffee maker did you replace your broken one with?

I agree with Kathy ( bermuda onion )…I could not keep up your pace…you seem to thrive on very little down time…

    1. Mainly just in the morning Patty and it is not as bad as I talk about here… when I first started doing meanderings I would mention coffee and people just got the impression that I was this huge coffee drinker so I made it part of the logo and the discussion – I do love coffee… but usually by 9 or 10 am I am coffeed out and move on to water. 😀

  8. That is one of the things I love about the blogging community also. The opportunity to share our experiences with books and book-related subjects is invaluable!

Hmmmm... what do you think?
