Just back from a work out! YES! I made it and I feel good. Energized…. and honestly – just glad to have it over for the day. 🙂
Today is normally my day off but my right hand assistant is on vacation this week and I have plenty to catch up on so I am in the office until 2 pm. After that – I think I am going to grab myself a chick flick or two, make a wonderful spinach salad for dinner tonight and enjoy the quiet of my home. I am hoping to read Lightning Thief tonight so I can take our Kinship partner Chance to the movie tomorrow afternoon.
It is day two since Al went to Honduras. I miss him already.
I have a review coming up in a little bit today and at some point during this weekend I really need to announce giveaway winners!

You made it to your workout! Good job!
Plans for the weekend? Surviving Saturday, when hubby will be at work most of the day and I’ll be at home with two crazy boys and no car. But then hubby is going to take the boys out to “Screen on the Green” that night. They’ll catch an outdoor kids movie here in Vero Beach. That’s when I’ll have some down time. Yay!
Enjoy your solo time, even though you miss your sweetie!
Laura
Laura, Screen On The Green? That sounds so fun. I look out the window at all snow and the below 7 temp this morning and know that I will not be enjoying a movie out on the “green” tonight. LOL
Oh, your weekend plans sound wonderful! And Lightning Thief…I keep seeing that around.
One of my two granddaughters is coming over (she’s turning 13 on Sunday, and my other granddaughter Aubrey turned 13 last weekend – but she lives in LA), so I’m going to enjoy kicking back with Fiona. We’ll probably see a movie, go out to dinner, and stay up late watching DVDs.
We’ll get in some reading, too, as she also enjoys books.
Oh that will be fun Laurel! I love that she enjoys books to!
I’ve never been to Screen on the Green, because hubby has used it as time for me to have some moments of peace without the kids. But they always have a good time!
It’s held here: http://www.pointewestflorida.com
BELOW 7 TEMP!?! Okay, now I feel like a wimp. I’m sitting here with a long-sleeve shirt, warm sweatpants, socks, blanket & warm computer in my lap, and I’m still cold. And the temperature outside? 54 degrees. Sad.
Laura
Laura – thats funny as my office is always really warm… too warm. So while you are all bundled up in your Florida weather, I am in short sleeves in my office in Minnesota and still a little too warm. 🙂
Can I come over-you have no idea what my weekend work schedule is.
Esme your schedule has been nuts lately. yes – call in sick and come on over! 🙂
No exciting weekend plans here.
I like those weekends wordlily. I am trying to keep mine as uneventful as possible. 🙂
Yeah, I usually do too. 🙂
Oh man.. my advice – save the reading of The Lightning Thief until after you’ve seen the movie..because you’ll end up just like me and yelling (quietly) at the screen as they mess the entire movie up!!
I will Lydia – I think I can get it read between tonight and tomorrow morning. Good to know I will be yelling 🙂
Sorry to hear you are missing Al. I hope he comes back soon. Glad to hear you hit the gym though. I really need to do that too.
He will be back on the evening of the 28th Vivienne…. of course that night I wont be home, I will be staying in town with the homeless so wont see him until March 1! 😦
Yes I made it to the gym and I am so glad I did! I am 10 weeks out from our first bike tour of the year and I need to make up for all the eating out I did over the last month while we traveled! 🙂
Oooh, I’m just about to set off for my workout (it’s evening over here) then this weekend we’re going on a 6 mile hike in the Yorkshire Dales (it was 10 miles last weekend but that’s because we got lost, LOL!).
Have a great weekend. Interested to hear what you think of The Lightning Thief too.
I love hiking Boof! Have fun!
This weekend? Tomorrow we’re going out on our boat and Sunday hopefully to Church. Other than that, I plan on reading, exercising and maybe watch a movie or two.
Sounds like a fun weekend Vicki! Enjoy!
Ahhhh…solitude! I finished work early today and managed to get two free hours before picking the monsters up at school…LOL! I know you miss Al, but you have to admit a little alone time is truly excellent, right? 🙂
No big plans for the weekend. My mom and I spend every Saturday together sans kids. We will probably go to a movie and/or watch movies at her house and go out to lunch. Maybe a little shopping too. We’ll see! Hope you have a great weekend Sheila!
I do enjoy the time Michelle. i just rented a couple movies and look forward to just hanging out at my own speed tonight. 🙂
That is awesome that you spend Saturdays with your mom!
Ugh. I have got to get off my butt and start walking or something! By the end of the day I am just not motivated.
Thats me too Helen…… mornings are best as the day goes on once I get home I dont want to leave again.
I’m sorry you’re sad my plans for the weekend is as little as possible : ) I would love to go to the coast Sunday since it will be 65 !!!! but getting the kids and hubby to go is another story : (
Hey Lori – I miss him but not really sad…. I have an evening of books and videos ahead of me 🙂
That is so cute that you miss Al already! When my husband is gone, it is usually “spring cleaning” time for me, whether it is spring or not! :–) This weekend is his week to go skiing, and usually I stay home and have “spring cleaning” but this year I’m going along, even though I don’t ski. So I’ll be having a big readathon all next week!!!
I am going to do some cleaning and filing on Monday rhapsodyinbooks. I thought I would surprise him by cleaning his office and shampooing the carpets so it looks all fresh when he gets home.
Woo Hoo Readathon! I like that!
Plans for Saturday- Winter Olympic Games with the Boy Scouts (bobsled, hockey, snowboard and whatever else those crazy boys come up with). Sunday I hope to have a nice quiet day at home, my only free day in 19 and I am sooo looking forward to it.
Winter olympics sounds fun Angie! Sounds like you will earn that Sunday off!
I’m reading ‘The Lightning Thief’ right now–you’ll like it!
Enjoy your movies and quiet time–favorite things of mine too 🙂
