Thanks to J Kayes wonderful weekly meme here, I take Coffee Cup into the reading room every Monday morning (usually pajama clad) and choose what I would like to read for the week. And yes, if you look at the amount of books I choose on some (many) weeks you will see I am usually quite optimistic – or perhaps I live in an alternate universe where time stands still and I can read forever….
Ahhhhh…. utopia….
Ok – back to earth. Here is what went down here last week which was pretty cool – so I have linked them here if you have missed anything exciting:

Not as lofty as it looks- several of these I am partly through like The Cost of Dreams, Penguin Luck, and Fruit of My Lipstick. Still and Rene has Two Last Names are complete and waiting for reviews, War Child I am starting today and American Rust is for a review this coming weekend.

War Child looks interesting! You’ve had a busy week this week, been fun getting the posts in my emails =)
I think it will be too Lydia, and thanks for subscribing. 🙂
I’m an Amazon Vine reviewer, and it’s an absolute crime that you aren’t one! I’m going to go click on your Amazon reviews right now!!

LOL Laura, I even went through my Spam emails and made sure I didn’t delete a request that I thought was just advertising… thanks – I am not sure if that will do it, but thought maybe….
Looks like quite a week! Penguin Luck looks interesting, as do the others!
Good luck with Amazon.
Thanks Julie H…. 🙂 Penguin Luck has been interesting…. still trying to figure it out….
Penguin Luck and War Child both look interesting.
Good luck with the Amazon Reviews-one of my doctors posts his reviews on Amazon-it was funny and re-assuring to see the medical books that he purchased. Half the time when I see him we talk books more than health.
That is cool Esme, a Doctor review of the medical books I think would be reassuring!
I love working out too — that’s where I get a bunch of my “reading” done! Love audiobooks. I listened to just about all the Amelia Peabody books that way (those were my first, suggested by my librarian), then went to the “Cat Who” books. I go on spurts. Just got the latest Vince Flynn thriller and am a couple CDs into that one. In terms of reading, I’m doing a lot of non-fiction reading, including how to write for the web, how to use my iphone better and a great book on how to create a sellable business. That one is so interesting — I have a preview copy. The book is “Built to Sell” by John Warrillow, who learned the hard way how to create a business that sells. These are hard financial times — knowing if you can or cannot sell your business you worked however many years to create is very, very useful.
Liz wow – you are amazing! I dont have an Ipod yet to read to listen while at the gym…. I have an IPOD shuffle which is great to boogy to… but can not download audio books.
The book yu are reading does sound interesting…
Great selections this week!

Thanks Laurel – I will check yours out.
Like Liz above I also put my audiobooks on my MP3 player. Huge help since my car’s CD player went out. Anyway, I clicked on your reviews over at Amazon. Hope that helps!
Angie, every year we get a points catalog from Preferred Pump for the money we spent with them the previous year. Last year we got Al an IPod to use and this year I am waiting for that catalog and I am getting an IPod! 🙂
Just started The Girl With The Dragon Tatto by Stieg Larsson.
Oh that one sounds good Cindy – I hope yo enjoy it! 🙂
Wow! I don’t know how you do it. Great list and I’ll head to Amazon and click it up hahahaa
LOL Natalie – I am not even sure if that is why or not…. maybe they have enough reviewers for now. 🙂
Looking forward to your reviews! I keep meaning to do this meme, then suddenly it’s Wednesday….*sigh*
And could you please send me directions to that alternate universe where time stands still and we can read forever? 😀
I did that too with some memes Alexia, the Tuesday one was one I just couldnt keep in my head so I let it go. 🙂
Love your amazon links. Off to check them all out!
Thanks J Kaye… I am still trying to figure out the secret to Amazon Vine…..
