Morning Meanderings…. Book Lovers In The Mud!

2aa

Last weekend I went with fellow Bookie and awesome friend Amy to the Muckfest in Wisconsin.  This is an annual mud run to raise money for MS… my 3rd time doing this one, her second.  We brought with us two rookies…. Jennifer and Jody who did MARVELOUS!

For this weeks Saturday Snapshot I thought I would bring you some of our pictures from that muddy event.

I did post this picture earlier this week – this is the picture we took at the check in. Look how clean we are!

  1. Looks like you all had a great time. I did a mud run once but haven’t done one since. Maybe one day I will do another one. The one you did looks like it is a great course.

    • They really do a great job – there were 20 obstacles in this 5k course, I did not get pics of them all. I have done several mud runs and not all are created equal :) This is a great course!

  2. Wow what an experience that must have been. And for a good cause too. Thanks for sharing these fun photos.

  3. Bravo! And that’s as close as I want to get to a mud run…thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

  4. LOVE your action photos. Looks like you had an amazing time. I hope the Muckfest raised lots of money too.
I’m featuring Mt. Rainier National Park again for today’s Saturday Snapshot post.

  5. Looks so fun! My son and DIL do any kind of run they can find in our area. His favorite so far is the Tough Mudder.

  6. You rock lady! Love the photos. Looks like a great time.

  7. Great job all of you. It looks as though you had a great time, if the smiles are any indication. Oh to be ??(many) years younger!

  8. Great photos, and it looks like y’all had a ton of fun!

  9. It looks like y’all had a great time!

  10. I’ve been told that Mud runs are a heap of fun. It looks like it was for you as well. Thanks for sharing.

  11. What a fun event! I have a number of friends who do these races and they all love them!

  12. You’re such a physically active person, Sheila! I’m sure it’s what helps with the stamina :) Those nets remind me of Sesame Place! I miss going, but my son outgrew it about 18 years ago, so have to wait for the grandkids to come along :) Of course, my fibro made climbing difficult (though one year it wasn’t too bad!), but I loved those nets! Great stuff, Sheila :)

    • I guess they are like boot camp nets – the one where we are on top is awesome as while we are crawling over the top people are going through it underneath…. its like a bunch of ants! :D

  13. So awesome that you did this. Looks like a lot of fun! I’m not sure I’d fare so well. I am not that athletic!
