Dead Running By Cami Checketts – Celebration and HUGE GIVEAWAY!

I first encountered Cami Checketts when she approached me just a few months after I had started blogging with an opportunity to read and review hew book The Sister Pact.  I was so impressed with her book that when I was done reading it I approaches her to see if I could interview her about the book, her writing life, and her life outside of books.  She said yes, and in fall of 2009, I learned a lot about Cami.

Even then she was a huge fitness enthusiast, and so it was so surprise to me when Cami approached me about her new book, Dead Running, that is was indeed centered around a character who works out.  I knew I wanted to read it and Cami not only rushed the books into my hands, she asked me if I would be one of the blurbs on the back on her book.  (oh yeah, insert SSSQQQUUUEEE here!) 

I couldn’t wait to get into this book, and expect a review this week, as it is currently out in E book format, the print version will hit the shelves in just a coupe days, on May 1st.

  4. Cool :) Thanks for the chance to win! Let’s see…I would have to say that what get’s me going is watersports and marathons! Watersports are just pure fun. From wakeboarding to swimming, to tubing to skiing, there is something for everyone!. As for the marathons…I let my friends badger me into doing two or three every summer…yay for staying fit!

    Because I have issues with my back, my legs and my feet, going to the gym and being selective with my choice of exercises is the best way for me to go. I’m still able to do the elliptical and the exercise bike, altho spinning is a bit out of my league. I also have once a week zumba classes. So far so good!!

  6. Wow, sounds like a fantastic giveaway! I might as well enter. :D Hard to answer that question, though, because the big thing for me is variety in exercise. I get bored doing the same thing over and over! I like biking and running and walking and elliptical and cardio/ST vids and the Wii and Zumba and all sorts of things. I suppose that I end up walking and running more than anything else.

  7. I used to run, but after my quadruple bypass surgery, my doctor said it was better for me to walk.

  8. I try to walk at least 10,000 steps each day!

  11. I LOVE Billy Blanks…well not him personally! Tae Bo has been the one exercise that I have stuck with for 10 years. I can always see results…as long as I don’t fall off the wagon!! I also enjoy biking with my buddy, Sheila!! Shameful plug to try and win more entries :) I also read while on my eliptical.

  18. It has to be cycling right now. I am in LOVE with it! I started off on my new bike about 4 months ago and could not ride for more than about 3 minutes without stopping to get my breathe. 2 months ago I did 8 miles and couldn’t believe I’d gone so far, 4 weeks ago I did my first 20 miles, last weekend I did 45 miles and today I am about to set off on an 80 mileer. It makes me feel freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! It’s invigorating and I get to see the beautiful countryside at the same time. Heaven.
