Morning Meanderings… Sunday Salon

Good morning!  Happy Sunday!

My recap of this week is so much more laid back then last week! I absolutely had nothing in my evenings all week.  I know right?  That never happens!  I usually am looking at my week thinking – ok I have that Monday evening, that on Tuesday evening, that on Wed…

but nope, this past week my Monday group was cancelled, Wednesday activities I usually volunteer for were cancelled due to the snow storm that hit Brainerd (sort of), Thursday I was supposed to have a belated dinner with friends and one of them had to go to the cities so we decided to postpone… and that was all I had planned for the week!

On Friday night hubby and I had chicken fajita and watched the movie Moneyball.  I will review it this week but in the meantime know that it is good and worth seeing!   On Saturday evening we went out to dinner with friends Robb and Julie to a restaurant we had never been to before.  It was about a 30 minute drive but the food was good, the conversation was awesome. Robb and Julie had just completed the Polar Plunge earlier on Saturday.

Beyond that – I received some pretty exciting books in the mail this week:

AND – Bloggiesta is back!!!  Woo Hoo!  I am so excited and you can sign up to be a part of it now… and trust me, you want to be a part of it!  :D

That’s a wrap!  Today I have church, then working out… some reading this afternoon and tonight Floor Hockey and then Amazing Race.  Ahhh…. a good Sunday :D

  1. What are Robb and Julie doing? I think some explanation is in order. :) Oooh, Bloggiesta…I plan on being there….at least for some. I think I have to work that Saturday :(.

    • LOL – whoops! I guess I could have explained that better :D They are participating in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics… us crazy Minnesota’s raise money this way….LOL….

People tend to dress up and have a lot of fun with it.

I did it last year and will probably do it again next year.

  2. Oh, I’m excited about Bloggiesta again…I wondered if it had gone away for good.

So off I go to sign up.

I’m thinking that today will be a good day to watch a movie, and Moneyball is now on my On Demand featured list. Yay!

I haven’t done my Sunday Salon post yet…it’ll be over at Serendipity: http://accidentalmoments.wordpress.com/…just in case you wander by.

What a great week you had! Relaxing….

  3. Ooh, a copy of The Shoemaker’s Wife. I am excited about that one! I also want to read Voyagers of the Titanic. It sounds really interesting.

I’m glad you had a more relaxing week. Sometimes that is just what we need. Hope you have a great day and week ahead.

  4. Yay!!! Unraveling looks fun. Great haul this week!!! (and chocolate!! Yay!!!) -Burgandy Ice

  5. I got a note from Adriana too and I squealed and ran around the house! Y’all like to dress up for the polar bear plunge in Minnesota, don’t you. It seems you did it in a gown last year.

    • Oh Kathy – I wish I would have had your phone number, I would have squealed with you :D

And yup… we do like to dress up

I did do it last year in a prom dress…. good times.. good times.

  6. Looks like you got some great books (and chocolate!).

  7. You sound refreshed today! I watched Moneyball last week and liked it, my husband fell asleep. He needs action or comedy to stay awake. Voyagers of the Titanic looks great, I want to read that one. And yaaaay Bloggiesta. I want to do some blog remodeling, maybe a custom background, we’ll see. Have a great week!

  8. Thanks Sheila for your support on Robb and I’s Polar Plunge… we would have loved for you to join us! Your new books look great…I too love anything about the Titantic and you’ll have to let me know about the new book from Suzanne Collins to.

  9. The Girl Who Was On Fire has some great essays in it – I read it last year, and enjoyed other authors’ insights into the series.

  10. Amy M will be soooo jealous that you got Trigiani’s latest before she did!!

  11. And how come you didn’t do the plunge this year??

  12. Bloggeista sounds like fun – Im going to sign up! =D
    Have a good week!
