It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s still Sunday evening and I arrived back home from the Ironman Bike Ride about 4 hours ago.  I am tired but had a blast hanging with Amy!  Thanks Amy!   :D

What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week.  It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I love being a part of this and I hope you do too!  As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme.  I offer a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment.  You receive one entry for every 10 comments, just come back here and tell me how many in the comment area.

Read, Recommend, Remember and Read, Recommend, Remember for Teens  are drool worthy books that I have been loving and will be reviewing these books this week.

The Girl She Used To Be by David Cristofano is a book I am not only reviewing for Hachette – but it is my book club read for May!  Got to love that!

So – what are you reading this week?  I am anxious to stop by all your blogs this week and see what is happening!  Sign the Linky below so we can all stop in and see what you are reading!  (I am bringing coffee and scones!)

  11. You always have such interesting books planned. I am envious. I was busy trying to get some reading done after my daughter’s wedding last week. I think I finished 2 books. But it is a start. I found so many different books to add to my TBR pile tonight through all of the sites. Visited 21 tonight and am planning to check back in the morning. I will have to invest in more audiobooks or ebooks to keep from adding to the stacks in my home. Great meme.

  12. Here is mine:

    • HI Jan – we did the 30 mile instead of the 65 which was sad, but the weather was so cold and rainy. Amy said she would do more rides with me this year so I am hoping we will have a better weather turn out next time.

I will talk more about this on the Tuesday Morning Meandering.

You have a great week too :)

  17. Looks like you had a great week of reading!! :D May this one be just as great!!

    • HI Allison – thanks for the comment :) I do like reviewing books that are unknown…. but I also find so many from other blogs that I get in on those as well. I do wonder sometimes how important sleep really is – LOL :D

  24. I have been wanting to read Hold Still and The Girl She Used to Be. You had a great week last week – hope you have another one this week.

Congratulations on the Ironman bike ride – what an accomplishment!

I’ve tried to leave my link 8 times and keep getting an error message. It’s the same link I leave every week, so I don’t know what’s going wrong. Thought you’d want to know.

  37. Can’t wait to hear what you think of The Girl She Used to Be. That’s been on my radar for a while but I just can’t make up my mind on it.

    • Lisa I have heard it was just fantastic…. there is suppose to be a lot of Italian food in it so that will make for a good potluck with our review. We always try to theme our food to the books we read.

  38. I had a very lazy week of reading last week. I hope to pick up the pace this week. :)

Thanks for hosting and I look forward to see what everyone else is reading this week.

  39. Your always reading something good! Hope your week goes well!
    Natalie :0)

  40. You are awesome — doing so much. The Girl She Used To Be sounds like a good book club pick. Here’s mine http://bookjourney.wordpress.com/2010/04/26/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-33/

  41. Hi Sheila! Nice to be here again, and thanks so much (as always) for hosting!

  42. Hey :)

It’s my first time joining in her, but I’m looking forward to finding out what everyone else is reading.

Take care and I hope you’re having a great week :)

  43. Sheila, you’re right I am reading the Patterson in the wrong order, darn, I hate it when I do that, but that’s life. All his books are so good and I am almost done with RUN…, the I’ll read the prequel STEP lol

HIT 17 blogs so far, will visit at least 3 more. Marathon phone call from my sister threw off my rhythm but will definitely visit 20. Really good reads to add to our list this week and some great new blogs!!!

    • Thats ok Dollycas – the only reason I know that is I started with Run For Your Life and then realized I had missed the earlier one. I will be reading it though as I have to know! :)

  44. Hope you enjoyed the books. Looks like a good list of books coming up. You can read my list here – http://www.pageturnersblog.com/2010/04/its-monday-what-are-you-reading_26.html

    Thanks

  45. Made the twenty and added eight new books to my Wish List. Glad I got to enjoy this this week, decided not to post reviews today and just enjoy this meme. Glad I did.

    Thanks Sheila!!!

  46. Looks like a fun reading week for you, Sheila! I’m glad you’re enjoying Fablehaven and I’ve heard 100 Cupboards was a good book, so I’m glad to hear you thought so too. :) Have a fun week!

  47. The Girl She Used To Be sounds great! I can’t wait for your review.
I’m so glad you read Hold Still. I’m really looking forward to (eventually) reading it.

  48. It’s official… I’ve lost it – I swear I left a comment here this morning!

I don’t recognize any of the book covers for this weeks list but I’m sure you will enjoy them.

    Wishing you a relaxing week!

  49. You have such an interesting list of books, Sheila! I’m glad to see you are enjoying Fablehaven; it’s such an interesting series. Have a great reading week!

  50. So, I’ve just entered my link but had to come back here to learn more about this “Gimble”. I’m off to see… :-)

  51. Just wanted to say thanks for this wonderful meme, it really is one of my favorites! Commented on you Hold Still review, cannot WAIT to read it!

  52. Well, last week was really a busy week for you! Great stuff.

I am still working on The Last Stormlord by Glenda Larke. It’s 605 pages so it takes me a little longer to get through. But I have a huge stack of books to choose from next. But, I have the next one figured out already, when I get done with this one. ;) Have a great week!

  53. Nice list of books. Looks like you had a great week. I loved the Harry Potter books. Wish she would write more. I’m half way through The Last Olympian by Rick Rierdan…loving it! Also started a very interesting self-help book called “Loving in the Moment” by Gina Lake. It talks about how the ego interferes with love and happiness and how to move beyond romantic illusions…to mention just a few.
    I’m really enjoying it.

  54. I really enjoy this meme, and after an especially tough two days it was really nice to sit down and read about what everyone had read. I commented on 10 blogs this week and I totally love the idea of Read, Recommend, Remember for Teens, it’s the kind of thing I wish the library had the budget to buy for all of my teens at the library.

  55. I am reading IMPATIENT WITH DESIRE by Gabrielle Burton which is about a woman who was part of the Donner Party. I read a Harliquin Intrigue also over the weekend – SECURITY MEASURES by Joanna Wayne. The Intrigues are quick reads, sort of a snack. This one was pretty good. I prefer the Intrigues because they usually have more substance than “man meets woman and they end up having sex.” I need more of a plot than that. Needed a break from a mother watching her friends and family starve to death.
